Rev. W. Dennis Griffith
Dennis and his family moved to Williamsburg in October 2012 to begin ministry with Grace Covenant. Dennis has served as a pastor in the PCA for more than twenty years, previously leading churches in East Tennessee, Western Pennsylvania, and Northwest Georgia. He completed his M.Div. at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. Prior to seminary, Dennis worked as a sales manager and announcer for a local radio station in Knoxville, TN and also began serving the local church there at that time. Both Dennis and his wife Carolyn did their undergraduate work at the University of Tennessee, where Dennis was also a reserve quarterback on the Volunteers football team. Dennis grew up in suburban Philadelphia, and spent his high school years in Broken Arrow, OK and Nashville, TN - where he became a follower of Jesus Christ through the influence of Young Life. Carolyn grew up Knoxville. They were married in 1989, and have three children: daughter, Rebekah, is a Freshman at Randolph College in Lynchburg VA; son, Matthew, is a Senior at Emory & Henry College in southwest Virginia, and a youth director at a church in Bristol TN; and son, Andrew, is a school teacher in Washington County Virginia.
Rev. Camper Mundy
Camper and his wife Heather moved to Williamsburg in August 2007 to join the ministry and mission of Grace Covenant. Previously, they spent six years in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where Camper served as a pastor at Grace Vancouver Church (PCA) after receiving his M.Div. from Regent College in Vancouver. Before that, they were in Chapel Hill, NC for six years where Camper served as a campus minister with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Before entering vocational ministry, Camper was a professional snow ski instructor at Keystone Resort in Colorado. He grew up in Gainesville, GA, and Heather grew up in Enid, OK. Camper and Heather were married in 1996 and have three young children. They met as undergrads at Wake Forest University.
Director of Student Ministries
Taylor moved to Williamsburg to join the staff of Grace Covenant in 2014. Previously, he worked as a Reformed Youth Ministries (RYM) church intern at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Rochester, MN and as a sports writer in Hopewell, VA. Taylor is a native of Chester, VA and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2010. He and his wife Cynthia were married in 2017 and live in Williamsburg with their adorable yorkipoo Reveley.
Kathy and her husband Wayne moved to Williamsburg in 1988. Originally from Bennington, VT, they lived in Cleveland, OH for 15 years prior to moving to Williamsburg. She has a degree in Secretarial Science and served as the Pastor's Secretary at their church in Ohio. Kathy has been on staff at Grace Covenant, in various capacities, since 1992. They have a married daughter, an adult son, two granddaughters and a grandson.
Director of Music
Isaiah joined our Grace Covenant staff in February 2016 to serve as the Director of Music. He initially moved to Williamsburg to pursue a degree in Counselor Education at William & Mary's School of Education, and currently works as an Intensive In-Home Therapist at a local agency. He is a graduate of Covenant College, where he majored in English, but also studied music. He is married to Lien, and they are enjoying parenting Selah, who was born in 2017.
Starr Van Wingerden
Director of Children's Ministries
Starr has lived in Williamsburg since 2015 after living up and down the East Coast from New Jersey all the way down to South Carolina. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Starr is happy to be back home in the Hampton Roads area! After earning her Bachelor's degree in English Education at Old Dominion University, Starr spent the last several years teaching in public, private, and home school coop environments. She now enjoys educating her four children at home and serving as the Children's Ministry Director here at Grace Covenant. Starr and her family live in Toano with their dogs, ducks, chickens, and one happy goose!
